Overview

As USAC continues to support universal service impacting health care providers, educators, and consumers, it is critical now more than ever that we hire people equally passionate and committed to helping fulfill our mission.  We are currently seeking an experienced, dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as a Recruiting Supervisor on our Human Resources team.  Reporting to the Senior Manager of HR you will: 

  • oversee the day-to-day operations of the USAC recruiting team, providing leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to the Recruiters and Talent Sourcing Specialist. The Supervisor will also actively recruit for vacancies within divisions they support.

Responsibilities

Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Recruiting Supervisor will be responsible for working with the Sr. Manager and HRBP to develop and implement recruiting strategies that help support the growth of USAC and maintain a viable talent pool for the organization. Among others, your responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • Lead and manage the daily work flow and recruitment activities for the USAC team of recruitment professionals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new employment marketing strategies for recruiting talent utilizing emerging technologies and approaches.
  • Develop visibility in key recruiting markets to help position the company as an employer of choice among target candidates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates, internal and external clients and other HR business units to support the strategic staffing goals of providing a highly skilled workforce.
  • Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities.
  • Understand and communicate current vacancies and recruitment priorities and identify and communicate trends in the applicant pool.
  • Actively recruit for vacancies as required and build a diverse pipeline of talented candidates that match the profile of USACs core competencies.
  • Understand and have the ability to communicate career levels, compensation, benefits, and growth opportunities that are offered by USAC.
  • Understand, monitor, and maintain compliance with EEO and other state and federal regulations and internal USAC policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisor tasks that include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop performance metrics for the talent acquisition team
  • Evaluate staff performance
  • Provide guidance and oversight to staff
  • Establish task priority
  • Manage staff projects

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will excel at operating in a diverse and fluid environment, and will be crucial for the success of the Human Resources Division.

 

  • Bachelor Degree and/or relevant technical training and certifications
  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years of directly related experience.
  • Must have Three (3) to Five (5) years in a fast-paced Operations environment.
  • Zero (0) to Two (2) years’ of management or internal operational/technical leadership experience.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make decisions with little need for direction and to function effectively as a team-oriented, self-starter working across cross-functional lines
  • Ability to work under deadlines and producing key deliverables
  • PHR, SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
