Overview

As USAC continues to support universal service impacting health care providers, educators, and consumers, it is critical now more than ever that we hire people equally passionate and committed to helping fulfill our mission.  We are currently seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as Receptionist on our Administrative Support team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Administrative Support you will:

  • provide telephone and clerical support for USAC staff.

Responsibilities

Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Receptionist will receive and direct visitors, as well as to answer the telephone promptly, courteous, and efficiently, direct calls to the appropriate person, and take messages when necessary.  Among others, your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them, in person, or on the telephone.
  • Maintain security by following procedures; monitoring logbook and issuing visitor badges.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
  • Prepare, receive, and distribute FedEx packages, incoming mail, faxes, and other deliveries to office staff.
  • Inform other employees of visitors’ arrivals or cancellations.
  • Assist office personnel on clerical assignments on request.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

About You

 

The successful candidate will excel at operating in a diverse and fluid environment, and will be crucial for the success of the Administrative Support team.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant technical training.
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of directly related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Present a professional image to all USAC visitors.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
